About Rachel Brooks

Rachel Brooks

Personal Background

Rachel Brooks is a Clearview Township sheep farmer, community advocate, and candidate for Ward 5 Councillor. Married to a crop farmer and raising three active children, Rachel is deeply invested in the future of Clearview's rural communities. She serves as secretary-treasurer for her family's cash crop operation and has pursued ongoing agricultural education through the Master Shepherd's Program since becoming a sheep farmer in 2020.

Professional Experience

Rachel's professional background includes leadership, training, management, and project management roles with RBC, as well as experience as a litigation law clerk at PDCS LLP. She also operated a successful home-based baking business for several years.

More recently, as co-chair of Clearview ROAR, Rachel has worked with residents, elected officials, agricultural organizations, and the media to advocate for transparency, meaningful public consultation, and the protection of Clearview's farmland, water, wetlands, and rural character.

Community Leadership

Her extensive community service includes volunteering with the Stayner Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, South Simcoe 4-H, the Stayner branch of Girl Guides, Sunnidale Corners Hall Board, Stayner Skating Club, Clearview Canucks Hockey, and the New Lowell Minor Baseball Association. She has also served Ontario Sheep Farmers District 6 as secretary-treasurer and is currently district chair.

Through her varied professional, agricultural, and volunteer experience, Rachel has developed a practical, community-focused approach to leadership and a deep commitment to helping Clearview thrive for generations to come.
